HPU Athletic is the collaborative effort between professional athlete Josh Saunders and creative mind Doug Crawford.

HPU, abbreviation of High Performance Unit, stands to empower athletes around the world by enhancing confidence, capability and comfort every single time they set out to perform.

Inspired by stories of athleticism and cosmic psychology, our identity is set in both mental and physical excellence. HPU Athletic is for those who want to be part of something that says; "We're not just built different, we are built for performance."

Our mantra "Built For Performance" embodies everything about the HPU Athletic and wider HPU brand. From design, quality of materials, structure of garments and the community of athletes who take part in the brand.

  • JOSH SAUNDERS

    One of the greatest grappling talents to ever come from Australia, and founder of the HPU brand, Josh has proven himself time and time again to be a formidable presence whether in his athletic, business or philosophical pursuits.

    Starting Jiu Jitsu in 2020 after a long professional career in Rugby League, Josh quickly rose through the ranks, achieving his brown belt, became the Oceanic champion and reaching the pinnacle of the sport, the 2022 ADCC WORLDS tournament in under 2 years.

  • DOUG CRAWFORD

    Having started martial arts at the young age of 9, Doug has continued his journey in combat sports for an accumulation of over 15 years between muay thai and grappling. Combining his love of martial arts and decade long experience in developing and designing apparel products, Doug has found his purpose in creating designer performance gear and clothing for athletes around the world through the HPU brand.
